124 Papers Presented In Iced 2014

Pulau Pinang, 20th of August –124 papers were presented in the 2nd International Conference on Electrobic Design (ICED) 2014 held in Equatorial Hotel, Pulau Pinang, recently.

The Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Brig. General Datuk Prof. Dr. Kamarudin Hussin in his officiating speech said that, ICED 2014 focus on the green technology concept. Each paper must adhere to the concept in order to be presented in this conference.

“200 papers were received and they have undergone a selection process to ensure that all the papers presented adhere to the quality needed.

“I believe that ICED 2014 is an effective platform for researchers to share their knowledge, exchange ideas and keep up with the latest trend in this research field,” he added.

He is also confident that ICED 2014 are able to generate interest and expand ideas in order to provide opportunities in knowledge sharing. This will provide better quality of life towards facing challenges in the future.

Among the countries joining ICED 2014 are India, Bangladesh, Iraq, Egypt, United States of America, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Russia and many more.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) of UniMAP, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of UniMAP, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid Adom were also present during the ceremony.

 The School of Computer Engineering and Communication and the School of Mikroelectronic of UniMAP have jointly organized the program obtaining technical sponsorship from the IEEE Malaysia Section Circuit and System Chapter and the IEEE Malaysia Section Signal Processing Chapter.

According to the Dean of the School of Computer Engineering and Communication, Prof. Dr. R. Badlishah Ahmad, the proceedings of ICED 2014 will be sent to the IEEE Xplore for index process and will be placed in the Abstract dan Index data bank at IEEE.

“ICED 2014 have also been approved by the Board of Directors (BEM) and will be awarded 12 credits under the Professional Development Program for their career professional development,” he added.

ICED 2014
