10 Working Papers Were Presented At The ICoE Conference 2014

PUTRAJAYA, November 7th- 10 working papers were presented at the annual conference of Industry Centre of Excellence (ICOE) 2014. The event was located at the Palm Garden Resort Hotel. The presentation was set off by the Executive Director for CIMB Islamic bank Berhad, Badlishah Abdul Ghani with his paper on "Global Competitive Outlook for Islamic Banking and its Appealing Choice as a Career".


The sessions for the main and second presentations were given by the director for Industrial Affairs, Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Arham Abdullah on the paper entitled “Academia Industry Collaboration The Way Forward Towards 2020”.


To the participants appeal, a paper was presented by the winner for the National Fellowship for Women in Science by L’oreal Malaysia, Dr. Noorhafiza Muhamad  from UniMAP with her paper on  “Comparison of Dry And Underwater Femtosecond Laser Micromachining Of Thin Nitinol Tubes For Coronary Stent Applications”.


During the conference, ICOE also launched the Treasury Service Cluster which was lead by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Also launched was the ICOE Strategic Document Brief Plan on Healthcare which was headed by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). The event was inaugurated by the Deputy General Director for Higher Education Institute, Ministry of Education (MoE), Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir. The Deputy General Director was representing the Deputy Minister of Education P. Kamalanathan.


Also in presence were the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International Affairs of  UniMAP Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal and the Assistance Vice Chancellor for Business College of UUM, Prof. Dr. Rushaimi Zein Yusof. The ICOE Conference 2014 conference was organized by MoE, with joint efforts by UniMAP and UUM.
