Vice Chancellor Officiates Departure of UniMAP Students Heading Home for Aidilfitri
Sungai Chuchuh, 1 July – Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) students have been waiting in anticipation to return to their hometowns for Aidilfitri.
Even better, the UniMAP students were sent off on their way home by their Vice Chancellor Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal.
In his speech, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul hoped that the students safely reach their destinations to celebrate Aidilfitri with their families.
“Safe journey back to your hometowns for Aidilfitri and send my regards to your parents and family there.
“It is hoped that your return to campus would be imbued with a stronger will to study harder and excel in your studies,” he said at the Diploma Students Homeward Bound Send Off Ceremony at the UniMAP UniCITI Alam Campus recently.
Also present were the UniMAP Deputy Vice Chancellor Student Affairs and Alumni Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Fo’ad Sakdan and the President of the UniMAP Alumni Association Syed Akhmal Syed Jamalil.
Syed Akhmal Syed Jamalil said that three buses were rented to transport 102 UniMAP students to the East Coast for Aidilfitri which is expected to fall on 6 July.
“This is also a UniMAP Student Council (MPP) initiative to ensure UniMAP students were able to return home without having to scramble for tickets at the bus station,” he said.
