Al-Madinah International University CEO Intrigued by UniCITI Alam Development

Sungai Chuchuh, 17 August – Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) intends for Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)  UniCiti Alam Campus to be a model for his university's development. Dr Syeikh Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi's desire was conveyed to former UniMAP Vice Chancellor Datuk Prof Emeritus Dr Kamarudin Hussin during his visit with his special officer Ahmad Muhammad Khalifa Al- Tamimi here today.

According to Syeikh Mohammad, he was intrigued by UniCiti Alam's development which did not utilize government budget at all and was constructed quickly and beautifully with the cooperation of a private corporation. He said the UniCiti Alam Campus will be made as an example and an ideal model to develop MEDIU which was formed at the end of 2006 with its main campus in Shah Alam, Selangor.

“I am pleased with Dr Kamarudin's knowledge sharing on the development of UniMAP's UniCiti Alam Campus which employs Industrial Building System (IBS) technology,” he stated. Earlier, Syeikh Mohammad was taken on a tour of Pauh Putra Campus, including visits to the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library (PTSFP), the UniMAP Digital Hub, Institute of Sustainable Agrotechnology (INSAT) and gave an academic lecture at the Perlis Islamic University College (KUIPs).

Also present for the tour were Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Prof Dr Abdul Hamid Adom, Perlis Mufti Dato’ Arif Perkasa Prof Madya Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin and KUIPs Rector Dr Mohd Mizan Mohamad Aslam.
