Communication Is Important To Guarantee The Success Of An Organisation

Pauh Putra, 7 April – Good communication at all departments can be the spark that boosts Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) to achieve its desire to be among the top 500 universities in the world.

UniMAP Vice Chancellor Datuk Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal said that good internal communication can facilitate information dissemination and implement the organisational edicts in accordance with university standards.

“Each departmental head must play an important role to ensure that their staff understand their assigned tasks and responsibilities and be able to work as a team.

“Any conflict of opinions must be professionally discussed to arrive at the most favourable decision and each person must respect such decisions,” he said during the Meeting Between Vice Chancellor and Top Management at Department/Responsibility Centre Level 2017-2019 Session.

At the function, Faculty of Engineering Technology Senior Lecturer Dr. Nik Noriman Zulkepli led the top management in an oath taking ceremony.

Dr Zul Azhar said that the appointment of the top management team this time underwent great scrutiny which emphasised on knowledge, experience, direction and the future of each organisation and department.

“This appointment, enacted from 1 March 2017 until 28 February 2019, involved 131 staff members of which 51 percent are men and 49 are women,” he said.

Besides that, Dr Zul Azhar also emphasised for each appointed personnel to exhibit a great deal of energy, integrity and knowledge in order to be a good example to their staff and students.
