UniMAP Collaborates With The Military-Related Engineering In Conjunction With DSA 2018

Kuala Lumpur, April 17 - Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is one of the educational institutions that involved directly in conjunction with the 16th Edition of Defense Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition and Conference 2018 and the International Exhibition on National Security for Asia (NATSEC) 2018 which was held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

UniMAP Vice-Chancellor, Dato' Prof Dr Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal said UniMAP took the opportunity to collaborate with military-related engineering with the Empayar Paradiqma Sdn Bhd through signing the Letter of Intent (LOI) in conjunction with the conference.

He said the collaboration clearly proves the impact of Research and Development (R&D) is not only at the academic level but also across various functions and fields.

"This strategic partnership will have a direct impact on UniMAP students, especially in the context of graduates' marketability," he said in a statement here.

In addition, School of Manufacturing Engineering, UniMAP was given the responsibility to invigorate  the collaboration as an effort to increase the UniMAP’s visibility internationally.

The Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed by Zul Azhar, who represented UniMAP whereas Empayar Paradiqma was represented by its Director, Dato' Hazizan Ahmad, while witnessed by Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail cum UniMAP Chancellor .

The Empayar Paradiqma is a company which involved in the military-based  industry in Perak.

Meanwhile, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also delivered the keynote address of the Chief of Army Roundtable Talk (ChART) 2018.
