19 UniMAP Retirees Including Former Registrar Celebrated
Kangar, March 12 – A total of 19 Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) staff members, including the former Registrar of UniMAP were celebrated at the Retiree Appreciation Ceremony 2019, with the theme “Honouring Your Contributions” (Jasamu Dikenang) at Hotel Seri Malaysia, here.
Former Registrar of UniMAP, Mr Zuber Mohamad, who retired on 15th January 2019 was also one of the five employees who underwent compulsory retirement, while two others were optional retirees and another five were those whose contract ended at the age of 60 years.
UniMAP Vice Chancellor Dato' Prof Dr Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal said the event was organised to show appreciation and respect to the retirees for their numerous contributions.
"Hence, on behalf of UniMAP I would like to take this opportunity to convey my sincerest appreciation and gratitude for all your contributions and dedication.
"Believe me, all your experiences in and contributions to the establishment of UniMAP cannot be valued in monetary terms," he said at the event held at Hotel Seri Malaysia.
Also present at the event were Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Prof Dr Uda Hashim and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students Affairs and Alumni) Prof. Dr. Mohd Foad Sakdan as well as various UniMAP head of departments.
Besides, Dr Zul Azhar presented souvenirs as a token of remembrance to all the retirees.
