Successful UniMAP Graduates Obtaining Career Rise To 88.34 Percent - VC
PAUH PUTRA (ARAU), July 25 (Bernama) - Universiti Malaysia Perlis Graduates (UniMAP) who suceeded in obtaining jobs rose to 88.34 percent in the middle of the year, compared with about 75 percent for last year.
UniMAP Vice-Chancellor, Brig Jen Datuk Dr Kamarudin Hussin said the impressive development was due to the graduates' quality that meets the market demands.
He said the figure was based on a Tracer Study made until July 1, filled by graduates applying for jobs, furthering studies or enhancing their skills.
"Of the 88.34 per cent, 70 per cent was accepted in multinational companies like Intel, First Solar, AMD and B. Braun," he said at the UniMAP 10th convocation held at their campus here Saturday.
UniMAP Pro-Chancellor who is also Perlis Raja Puan Muda Hajjah Tuanku Muda Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil consented to deliver the diploma scrolls to 366 graduates.
Meanwhile, Silterra Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Silterra) senior director of corporate development and external relations Tahiruddin Tun Hamdan, who was awarded the Honorary Degree of Master of Science in the ceremony, said UniMAP's success in producing high quality graduates was due to its syllabus and its education system that met the needs of the industry.
