Graduates Must Prepare For Competition In Job Market -- Raja Puan Muda Of Perlis
PAUH PUTRA (Arau), July 25 (Bernama) -- The stiff competition for jobs requires that soon-to-be graduates are more prepared for acceptance in the job market.
The Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil said employers had many choices in the current scenario and imposed numerous tight conditions in which only the best could land jobs.
"Soft skills such as communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and intellectual abilities and experiences obtained formally and informally are important.
"Such values make the graduates more competent," said Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen, who is also Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Pro-Chancellor, at the 10th convocation, at Pauh Putra Campus, today.
Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen also urged students of UniMAP to use their own initiative to glean experience to enable them to stand out from graduates of other universities.
