UniMAP Strengthen its name in Japan
ARAU November 25 - Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) through the School of Materials Engineering (PPK) and the Centre of Excellence Geopolimer and Green Technology (CEGeoGTech) expand its relationship with an educational institution in Japan.
UniMAP Vice-Chancellor, Brig. Jen. Datuk Prof. Emeritus Dr.Kamarudin Hussin said the cooperation between UniMAP and Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI) Osaka University, Japan include some cases involving joint research.
"This partnership will focus on cooperation in collaborative research program, lectures, symposium as well as students and staff exchange between both universities.
"I am convinced that this cooperation will further enhance the ability of universities to produce high-impact research," he said after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was held at UniMAP Campus, Pauh Putra, recently.
At the ceremony, Datuk Kamarudin represented UniMAP while JWRI was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hiroshi Nishikawame.
Also present were Dean of School of Materials, Dr. Khairel Rafezi Ahmad, Director of UniMAP Center for International Affairs, Prof. Dr.Rosni Bakar and Director of the Centre for Industrial Collaboration and Government Agencies Dr.Mukhzeer Mohamad Shahimin.
