BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- Several universities and companies in South Korea are keen to participate in Universiti Malaysia Perlis' (UniMAP) 'Korea Month' programme to be held in February next year.

UniMAP vice-chancellor Datuk Prof Emeritus Dr Kamarudin Hussin said the programme would be held at the university's permanent campus in Pauh Putra.

"I have received encouraging response from several universities, including Korea High Tech University, Seoul; Hanbat National University and Hannam University in Daejeon; Dongseo University (DSU), Busan, and Inha Technical College in Seoul.

"Several entrepreneurs, as well as chief executive officers of several companies in Daejeon and Gumi are also keen to participate in the programme," he said at the end of the week-long visit by UniMAP to South Korea yesterday.

He said entrepreneurs in Malaysia should take advantage of the 'Korea Month' programme to meet the Korean business community.

The UniMAP delegation to South Korea was led by its chancellor, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
