ICoE Healthcare Donates RM50,000 to B.Braun Graduate Programme 2016

PADANG BESAR, 22 December – The Industry Centre of Excellence Health Care Cluster (ICoE Healthcare), the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) donated RM50,000 to the B.Braun Graduate Programme (BGP) 2016.

Head of the ICoE Healthcare Cluster Prof. Madya Ir. Mohabattul Zaman Bukhari said that BGP 2016 is a strategic cooperation programme with B.Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. (BMI) to enhance human capital development to increase graduate marketability in the industry.

“We are constantly striving to help produce graduates that meet the needs of the industry and this is not the first time we are cooperating with the industry.

“To participate in this programme, the student needs to achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 and above in the various fields of engineering and science,” he said when met after the Donation Cheque Handover Ceremony at the UniMAP UNICITI Alam Campus here recently.

Also present were BMI Human Resources Manager Rudy Musnandar Mohamad Said, Deputy Dean of the UniMAP Faculty of Engineering Technology Dr. Nik Noriman Zulkepli and BMI Senior Executive Aswaddie Abdul Stek.

He further explained that the six month programme will have two phases and begins next July.

“It will be fully managed by BMI and selected graduates will be offered jobs with BMI and will enjoy benefits like other employees.

“We hope that with this programme, the percentage of employed graduates will increase and cover the shortage of skilled engineers in the country,” he continued.
