Annual UniMAP SUKSIS Corps Camp Tests Attendees' Mental and Physical Durability

Kuala Terengganu, 11 February: 190 members of the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Police Undergraduate Voluntary Corps (SUKSIS) attended the Annual SUKSIS Corps Camp in Terengganu recently.

UniMAP SUKSIS Corps Coordinating Officer Assistant Superintendent Che Yob Pin said the week-long camp focuses on three modules, namely Ethics and Integrity Management of the Royal Malaysian Police Course, Basic First Aid Course and Basic Introduction Module to the General Operations Force (PGA) Course.

“These three modules are divided into three levels for Junior, Intermediate and Senior members.

“This is intended to provide UniMAP SUKSIS Corps Members an early exposure to all aspects based on increased levels of seniority in the SUKSIS Corps,” he said at the 9th PGA Battalion Camp, Gong Badak.

He elaborated that the modules are useful to all SUKSIS members especially those planning to continue their service with the security force.

“The knowledge taught to them is the same given to future Inspectors with the addition of first aid skills to face emergency situations, especially in accidents involving injuries and fatalities, as well as natural disasters.

“Meanwhile the final module teaches defence, combat and survival skills in battlefields by holding activities completely in the jungle,” he continued.

The Annual SUKSIS Camp Closing Ceremony was officiated by the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Perlis Contingent Chief, Superintendent V Raja Vadivelo who represented the Perlis Chief of Police.

Also present were UniMAP SUKSIS Corps Deputy Commandant Honorary Superintendent Associate Professor Dr. Khairul Nizar Ismail, Commanding Officer of 9th PGA Battalion Superintendent Mohd Abduh Ismail and UniMAP SUKSIS Corp External Training Officer Assistant Superintendent Raja Shah Erman Raja Arifin.
