YTF Sponsors Five Graduates To Attend Women's Leadership Programme In Japan
ARAU, Feb 29 (Bernama) -- Tuanku Fauziah Foundation (YTF) has allocated RM350,000 to sponsor five graduates to participate in the Women's Leadership Programme at Josai International University (JIU) in Japan for a year starting April 3.
The scholarship offer letters were presented by YTF president, Raja Puan Muda Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, to the five graduates at a ceremony in the Arau Royal Gallery, here, today.
The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, who is also chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), attended the event.
Three of the recipients are from UniMAP, namely Lim Xin Shi, 25, from Johor and Khuzaimah Ramli@Lahman, 25, from Kedah who have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Nurul Najwa Halim, 23, from Kedah, who has a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering.
Two more graduates are from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), namely Nor Salihah Nor Zaini, 24, from Perak, who has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Fluid) and Nurul Afizan Yaakob, 24, from Selangor, a graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
YTF trustee, Tan Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen, said the programme aimed to create young women leaders who possessed a winning attitude.
"YTF has established a strategic collaboration with JIU for five years and every year we will be sending five women graduates with leadership potential, starting this year," she said.
