UniMAPCare Clinic Begins 16-Hour Daily Operations
Kangar, 11 Mac – UniMAPCare Clinic (UniMAPCare) has received approval from the Private Medical Practice Control Section, Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) to operate 16 hours daily beginning 7 March 2016.
Chairman of the UniMAPCare Board of Directors Brig. Jen. Datuk Prof. Emeritus Kamarudin Hussin said that UniMAPCare began serving the public from 8am to 5pm from 1 December last year.
“We are grateful for this approval and hope to provide excellent healthcare to the people of Perlis.
“UniMAPCare has the only doctor in Occupational Health in the state, and the addition of another doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology would certain to add value to our services,” he said in a speech at the Majlis Doa Selamat UniMAPCare ceremony here yesterday.
Also present were Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic & International Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal, UniMAP Deputy Vice Chancellor Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA) Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Foad Sakdan and the Chief Executive Officer of UniMAP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Baharudin Majid.
He explained that among the services UniMAPCare offer are outpatient treatment, minor surgery, medical examinations, physiotherapy, counselling, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and external counterpulsation therapy.
“UniMAPCare is planning to add more services such as antenatal care, 3D and 4D ultrasound services, women's clinic and vaccination.
“We plan to hold a launching ceremony of UniMAPCare Clinic in the middle of April which will be officiated by UniMAP Chancellor Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail,” he said.
