46 International Students Completes International English Course (IEC)

Rabu, 9 March – 46 international students recently completed the International English Course (IEC) which was offered by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).

According to Acting Vice Chancellor Dato’ Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal the International English Course had been formed to increase English language proficiency and to prepare students to continue their degree studies.

“This six month course also helps students to acclimatise with the local community while improving their mastery of the English language,” said Dato’ Zul Azhar in his speech during the IEC Completion Dinner at the Hotel Putra Regency Kangar.

He expressed a certainty that the time spent studying at UniMAP would be a priceless experience if the students exhibit good character and great resolve in their learning.

“I understand how they must feel being far away from family and friends but by having honest intentions, this will all yield great results for them,” he said.

Also present were 22 Walailak University students who are spending five months at UniMAP from December 2015 to June 2016 attending the Malay Language In-County Programme.
