Five Female Graduates To Undergo Women Leadership Programme In Japan

KANGAR, April 1 (Bernama) -- Five Malaysian female graduates have been selected to undergo the Women Leadership Programme at the Josai International University (JIU) in Japan under the sponsorship of Tuanku Fauziah Foundation (YTF).

YTF Board of Trustees member Tan Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen, in a statement here today said the one-year programme, which would begin on April 3, was hoped to help Malaysia to achieve the status of a fully-developed nation, especially in terms of women's participation in decision-making.

"The curriculum of the programme covers all aspects of women participation in nation and world development, women leadership in the era of globalisation, Japan and ASEAN ties, as well as ethical and quality work culture.

"This is in line with the YTF's objective to produce new generation of young and excellent female leaders with global vision," said Ng, who is now in Japan to accompany Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, who is also YTF chairperson, to meet with the five graduates in Chiba, Tokyo.

The five graduates are Lim Xin Shi, 25, and Khuzaimah Ramli@Lahman, 25, both graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Universiti Malaysia Perlis, (UniMAP); Nurul Najwa Halim, 23, (Biosystem Engineering, UniMAP); Nor Salihah Zaini, 24, (Mechanical Engineering (Thermal-Fluids), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM); and Nurul Afizan Yaakob, 24, (Manufacturing Engineering, UTeM).
