There's More To Explore Through Malaysia-Japan Strategic Collaborations - Perlis Raja Muda

KANGAR, April 1 (Bernama) -- There is still much to explore through strategic collaboration opportunities between Malaysia and Japan, especially in the field of education and entrepreneurship development training.

Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, in a statement today, said that besides forming a camaraderie between the two countries, it would also benefit various parties, including owners of technology, financiers, government agencies and entrepreneurs.

"Among that which can be shared are businesses that are being conducted in Malaysia through the formation of Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC).

"Although has not been listed among the top 20 locations for ecosystem development, a report in 2015 by the Global Startup Ecosystem Ranking has recognised Kuala Lumpur as an Asian city actively promoting joint cooperation to develop high potential fields," he said.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin was speaking at a dinner hosted by the chancellor of Josai International University (JIU), Dr Noiko Mizuta in Tokyo, Japan on Friday.

Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajjah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, who is also the chairman of Tuanku Fauziah Foundation (YTF), was also present at the event at the invitation of JIU to present five YTF sponsored students participating in the Woman Leadership Programme at the university for a year.

Meanwhile, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said Malaysian students and citizens residing in Japan should seek out available opportunity to promote the country in the eyes of the world.

"By preparing a good Malaysian meal for your friends and colleagues, for example, can provide a unique experience and capable of attracting foreign tourists to visit Malaysia," he said when launching the Perlis Cuisine promotional campaign at the Malay Asian Cuisine Restaurant in Tokyo.

The restaurant, which has been operating for the past three years is owned by Malaysian Stevan Ozeki Tan, 51, from Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur.

He is assisted by chef Muski Yusof, 38, from Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu. The campaign will be held for three months.
