1.Centre for International Languages
The Centre for International Languages (CIL) The Centre for International Languages (CIL) or Pusat Bahasa Antarabangsa, is formerly known as the Department of International Languages (DIL). Established on March 1, 2013, the Centre focuses on providing students and staffs of Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and the community within its vicinity, with great opportunities to learn languages. CIL currently provides language courses which are a requirement for students enrolled in all UniMAP programmes, at both diploma and undergraduate degree levels. It caters to the needs of the ever-growing number of students who seek to be proficient not only in Bahasa Melayu and English, but also in a third language of their choice. Apart from Bahasa Melayu and English, other languages offered at CIL are Arabic, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Thai.
2.The Ministry of Higher Education through a letter dated August 3rd, 2008 had instructed Co-curriculum Centre to be established at all Malaysian Public Institutions of Higher Education. The aim is to achieve the goal that had been outlined in the Country Higher Education Strategic Plan which is to strengthen the ‘learning outcomes’ through co-curriculum activities. UniMAP Co-curriculum Unit was established in the year 2002 and was placed under the Centre for Communication Skills and Entrepreneurship. Then, on the 8th of June, the Co-curriculum Centre had moved out from the Centre for Communication Skills and Entrepreneurship and started operating at a new location at Taman Jejawi Utara. On the 29th of July 2010, the establishment of Co-curriculum Centre was officially launched by the Honourable Datuk Vice Chancellor of UniMAP at that time. The Co-curriculum Centre offers a lot of co-curriculum and uniformed bodies courses. All degree & diploma students are required to enroll at least two (2) units of the Co-Curriculum courses offered.
3.Centre for Industrial and Governmental Collaboration (CIGC)
The Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) was formed to enable UniMAP achieve its goal in providing the industry with technically competent graduates to support in nation building. It was established on the 18th of March 2004. The Centre for Industrial Collaboration depicts a multifaceted organization, as it offers programs and academic activities which emphasize on participation and commitment from various industrial sectors. Centralized programs and activities organized by CIC are recognized as the core engineering courses and activities. These programs are aimed to facilitate the upgrade of UniMAP's competitive status in designing, processing and producing various products with profound inclination toward engineering. Now it is called as the Centre for Industrial and Governmental Collaboration (CIGC).
The purpose of the Engineering Centre is to operate the laboratories and workshops, the general (common) required by the various programs offered in Coppermine. Engineering programs carried out essentially focused on the "practical oriented", in which more emphasis is given to the practice of intensive practical. It aims to strengthen the understanding of theoretical concepts that have been studied.
