RMUTSV-UniMAP Organize fifth ISOL
PRESS RELEASE - AUGUST 3rd , 2015 PAUH PUTRA - Center for International Languages (CIL), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in collaboration with the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), Thailand will organize the International Soft Skills and Leadership Camp Program (ISOL).
The knowledge sharing program between the two countries will be held for four days involving 45 students from both universities.
The program coordinator for ISOL 2015, Mohd Syamril Aklmar Chek Kassim, said that the program which has been going on since 2011 had directly improve the quality of leadership in students from the two universities.
"The curriculum and the approach used during this program will involve lessons using activities inside and outside the classroom that are expected to impact positively on the students in the future.
"During this program, students from UniMAP and RMUTSV must practice the use of the English language and leadership skills in real life situations and learn through the activities prepared for them," he said after the opening ceremony, held at the Library Auditorium Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library Auditorium, here, recently.
The opening ceremony was officiated by UniMAP CIL Director, Prof. Dr. Harshita Aini Haroon. Miss Kittiya Phisutthangkoon, a lecturer from the Department of International Languages, Faculty of Liberal Arts, RMUTSV.
He further added that among the activities carried out during the program are visit to the library, UniMAP and around the main campus of the university.
"In addition, the students will also be brought to visit some interesting places in Perlis and Kedah to promote Malaysia such as Gua Kelam, Kedah branch of the National Science Center and the Perlis Handcraft Center.
"Whereas in Songhkla, the students will take a tour around the RMUTSV campus, Samila Sheep Farm, Songkhla Lake Cruise, and visit the Town of Songkhla," he added.
